Meet the Team

  • Bette Mattison

    Meet Bette :

Bette’s parents were told when she was a toddler she would never live to be 10 years old due to a very weak liver and fragile kidneys.

Her mother refused that prognosis and decided to take matters into her own hands. How she knew to use beef liver to rebuild her child’s liver we do not know, but she also had the wisdom to understand that the beef liver had to be nearly raw in order to contain the enzymes to break it down so that that much protein wouldn’t be hard on her kidneys that were also in trouble. The result? As of September 2024 the matriarch of this family be 104 years of age. Although hard of hearing she still lives alone and is very active physically and mentally - without the help of one prescription drug. What’s her secret ? A great attitude being thankful every day for all her blessings and using whole foods nutrition, otherwise known as “genuine replacement parts” to build and maintain her body. .

  • Halli Shoff

    Meet Halli:

Moving forward since not many are simply blessed with “good genetics”, Bette’s own daughter, as a toddler had serious, chronic lung issues and every winter they thought they were going to lose her before she would ever go to school. Doing things like onion polices on her chest and other home remedies, she managed to survive, but when she was eight years of age had a situation that perplex the doctors. They concluded she had an allergy to the cold as any part of her body other than her face when exposed to cold would break out in hives and swell.  The Dr. advice was to put her on steroids for the inflammation. Betty decided if whole foods worked for her, they would also work for her daughter so  she took a different approach.

How did it work out? 10 years later as a senior in high school at 18 years of age, Halli was now blessed to be the healthiest of four children. How? Because her mother had been shoving things down her throat like desiccated, liver, cod liver, oil, and brewers yeast, to name a few.

Halli could easily recognize the difference that good nutrition had made in her life and so she chose to write her senior paper entitled “Wake up America and Eat Your Way to Better Health!”

Halli never strayed from her commitment to health and good nutrition. As years past, however, there were still things to be dealt with although she and her daughters were running a successful health clinic, at age 48 she discovered she had early stages of lung cancer, although never smoking a day in her life! Thankfully she won that battle with only using natural therapies. However, two years later, she was diagnosed the autoimmune disease of rheumatoid arthritis (R A). Sadly, before she could unravel it entirely, she found herself in a wheelchair, but refused to take the traditional medicines used to treat her disease. It did take her some time to solve the mysteries of which foods her body liked, and which ones caused her problems as well as what whole food supplements she needed to add to her regime. We are happy to report that for many years now and at 70 years of age Halli is thriving; dancing with her husband, playing with her grandchildren, and is pain-free.

Though for a few years, she closed her clinic and retired- when she observed people suffering so after the pandemic because of her passion to help others, out of retirement she came. Halli went back to school for added training to find the root causes so  many are struggling with their health.

As you can imagine, it was no surprise to her that the solutions would lie in maintaining a good diet, supplemented with whole food nutrition, along with methods of detoxing and supporting the body by various means. She is licensed and/ or certified in several different modalities, including Nutritional Response Testing  ( NRT) as well as  other specialized areas such as the vital component of emotional work.

That meant bringing the team together again.

Now with both her daughters and son brought up to speed for their individual roles, they were ready to reopen.

    A Little About Me:

My name is Curtis J Monahan named after both of my grandfathers. so, everyone calls me CJ. health has always been a main focus in our family growing up. when I was 5 years old, I had the privilege of going to a 3 in 1 concepts course. (Emotional supports/ clearing course) at 15 years old I was 1st exposed to EDS. 3x alumni in the Energetix collage where I got my HHP certification. new information and styles are always coming out. optimum health means you need to take care on all levels. so emotional, and nutritional I had, but physical health training I still needed. at the age 25 I became a Certified Personal Trainer and health and wellness coach. (CPT). The more we learn about the body, the more we see how it is all intertwined.

You have to do something you like/love.  We support the body and mind. seeing people struggle in life because of lack of nutrition or having emotions block them from achieving in life they want. My goal is to help others reach their goals and will match the effort they put in to get better. The joy we get when seeing someone value of life improve is a great reward. Natural health can do a lot but please know we don't diagnose or take the place of a medical doctor.

    Meet Gina:

Gina wife and mother of three boys is an old hand at being able to run things efficiently. It is often said the most important person in a business such as ours is your front desk person. Her years of experience in the past with this role, prove that statement true. Although she is the smiling face, you will first meet or cheerful voice you will first hear when you call, you will soon conclude she is your go to person and you can’t imagine trying to run a clinic without without her!
